The Crooked Dope

I’ve realized that the name of the blog may present some confusion. It was one of those things that I thought up on a sleepless summer night. I was thinking about domains and knew that “The Straight Dope” was certainly reserved or in use. But… that was OK.

When i conceived this blog, I thought for sure I’d be spending a lot of time unraveling the lies and propaganda of talk radio and assorted republicans. I figured I’d be working hard to unravel the “crooked dope” being spun by hucksters in media and politics.

so yeah, I’m neither crooked or dopey, notwithstanding anything Bill O’Reilly says.
